|London MCM Expo this weekend!
||[May. 19th, 2009|10:50 am]
At the last minute I have got a table at the MCM Expo in London this weekend, so if you are going along keep an eye out for me! I'll be printing some more mini comics (with 4 pages of all-new B&S material!) and I'll have some new badges to sell too - here's one of the designs :
You may have noticed I still haven't posted the comic that I alluded to last week - I'm still not sure if it's a can of worms/beavers that I want to re-open. Yes: I am being 'wishy-washy'.
beaver and steve was like the first comic I actually got into. quit teasin' me, man :(
The Expo! See you and Mr Allison there, I may be dressed as a character from Gone with the Blastwave.
also be wishy, be washy, but know that your hob nobs hang in the balance
Wish I was in london so I could come and seeya! Have an excellent time at the show. Are those 4 pages of new B&S going to appear on the interwebs anytime soon?
I bet your fans that are dentists are going to snap those badges up. Then, mistaking them for decorated potatoe chips, bite them, and they themselves have to go to the dentist. OH the calamity!
Being wishy washy is easy when there are two perfectly valid decisions to choose from. I say, go for it, what's the worst that could happen? Besides that fire pig right behind you nibbling your ear off in a firey way. Look out!
I know it probably sounds ridiculous, but I think if I start Beaver and Steve again I won't have time to work on anything else, and I'd really like to get another project going - I wish I could do both!
I think it sounds like you'd rather work on your other project, so I say go for it.
I think that's the best course of action. Stop jerking Beaver & Steve fans around and let it die; find that other dream project you've been looking for, one which you WANT to work on. We'll all be happier off that way. Well, the Beaver & Steve fans won't, but most of them aren't really a part of the equation anymore.
sigh -- part of me (an actual organ doctors have referred to as the "beaverstevenduom" while scratching their befuddled heads) really wants you to bite the bullet and resume b&s (bs?). The other part of me thinks whatever you do is gonna be fried gold so says go for it.
What about doing a series of "spin-offs" from beaver and steve, where you really explore a character from the series, like the shoe elf? THat'd give you a break from B & S AND also expand their world.
I don't see what the problem is. we're living in the 21st century, just clone yourself, raise the new you to do just do beaver and steve and you would free to do what ever else you want to do. Of course there would those many years of having to potty train and feed the new you, but it would be worth it!
If you're to lazy to actually do the cloning, I say go with the other projects and only come back to beaver and steve once and a while when you just want to pop out a funny comic that. You've got the fans who'd love you for it, plus love to see what else is rolling around inside your head.
So go for it, but you better start working on those other projects soon, other wise some of your fans just might try to crack open your head and get to those new ideas and projects before you can!

As the fan I am, I would be extremely glad to see new stuff of beaver and steve and I would be more than giddy with joy with only one update a week, hell, even one updates every two weeks of B&S directly and some new original stuff in between. As I said before your work is ingenious, so why not do both? You seem to have still enough ideas to keep B&S going, but that doesn't mean you have to restrict yourself on them! I am eager to see both new B&S and something completely new as long as it comes form you.
And if you're honest you don't have much choice after teasing us anyway... so come on... be cool... like all the other cool kids with comic talents would be!
Sincerely, a german fan!
